Trafalgar Community Infant School Victory Road, Horsham, West Sussex, RH12 2JF HOME SCHOOL AGREEMENT The school will Ø ensure that every child has access to a broad and balanced education Ø strive to meet the needs of every child to ensure that they reach their full potential Ø aim for high standards in all school activities Ø ensure that the school rules are followed consistently by everyone Ø inform parents/guardians regularly of children’s progress and provide an annual written report Ø inform parents/guardians half termly what the teachers plan to teach Ø be open and welcoming, and offer opportunities to become involved in the life of the school | | The parents or guardians of the child will Ø ensure that our child arrives regularly, on time and with everything needed for the day Ø inform the school as soon as possible if our child cannot attend Ø support our child both with homework and with general opportunities for learning at home Ø let the school know of any issues or concerns which might affect our child’s work Ø attend parents’ meetings and discussions about our child’s progress Ø support our child in keeping the school rule | | The child will promise Ø I will do my best to follow the school rules Ø I will do what I am asked by all members of staff Ø I will be kind and thoughtful for others Ø I will be polite to everyone Ø I will keep myself and others safe Ø I will listen and work as well as I can Ø I will take good care of my school and its content | | Together we willØ be partners in the child’s learning and value his/her efforts Ø promote good behaviour and positive attitudes towards school activities Ø accept that if discipline is necessary the child will · be asked to explain his/her behaviour truthfully · be reminded of the school rules · be disciplined as appropriate, by being asked to work during playtime, by having privileges withdrawn, by being rebuked by the Headteacher or by a senior member of staff, or by having the matter referred to the child’s parents · be encouraged to apologise or put right the wrong that he/she has done · be praised for some appropriate behaviour as soon as possible thereafter | | Pupil’s Name: ……………….........................… Signed: ………………………………… …………………………………… Parent/Guardian Headteacher
